New Delhi: The deadline for registering for the Common Admission Test (CAT) has been extended to 25 September, 5pm. The test which is scheduled for 26 November earlier had a registration deadline of 20 September.
“Several students seem to have started the registration process but have not completed it so we decided to extend the deadline,” said Neeraj Dwivedi of IIM Lucknow,w ho is the convener of CAT 2017. However, there will be no further extension, he clarified.
“25 September is the deadline for submitting the completed application with the supporting documents as well as for making the payment,” said Dwivedi. Candidates must pay the fee for CAT 2017 online.

CAT will be conducted in 140 cities with candidates having to select four test centre preferences at the time of registration. A valid and unique mobile number must be presented at the time of registration for verification purposes.

Candidates can download the admit cards from 18 October, 1pm.
Last year too, the CAT convener, IIM Bangalore extended the registration deadline by five days.
