Placement Structure

For your reference, we have some numbers to dazzle you. The year 2017 at MICA saw a massive leap of 60%, from INR 25.5 Lacs/annum to INR 40.8 Lacs/annum. Hence, this year MICA has written a success story for domestic placements in the world of media institutes.

MICA follows a set recruitment process. Students will be called to sit for the particular company that participates in the recruitment process. Recruiting firm will acquaint aspirants with a corporate presentation, which will include, Profile of the company, Profile of the career role, Locations where the student is likely to be posted and salary offered by the company. Post the presentation, the CV’s are scrutinized and candidates areshortlisted. The Interview is conducted after the pre-processes (Tests/Group Discussion). Finally, the company hands over the list of selected students to MICA’s Placement cell.

The22nd batch of MICA’s Communication program admitted nearly 160 students in their 2015-17 batch. Total of 152 students were offered placement in 80 companies that participated in the recruitment process. Also, the institute did not lack behind in associating with international recruiters. The trend continued and 3 students were hired for an overseas job.

The institute has never failed in providing with best industry placements to its students, the year 2016 wrote success with 100% placement record and thehighest package of INR 25.5 Lakh.

Summer Internships at MICA also faced a boom with 61 partner companies on board. Highest stipend offered was INR 2.4 Lakh. The largest intake in the week was from brand consulting & advertising sector, which offered Internship to 30.9% of the students.

Companies and Sectors

Media sector made the highest number of offers, followed by Internet and Technology, FMCG, FMCD, Retail, and Advertising. Some of the Top Recruiters include Amazon, HT Media, Ogilvy, Google, Facebook, TOI, Amul, OLX, Disney, Snapdeal, Leo Burnett, LinkedIn, and HUL amongst much more.

Highest package of 40.88 Lakh was offered by Information and Technology Sector, followed by 20.07 Lakh by FMCG, FMCD and Retail sector, and 15 Lakh was offered by the media sector. 11 companies from the IT sector hired approximately 29 students, 12 from FMCG and Retail hired 21 students and the highest number of offers were made by the media sector, wherein 15 companies hired total 30 students.
